CMI is Children's Ministry Institute in Warrenton, Missouri. Leif is currently the Ministry Coordinator for the Eastern Montana District (the 15 most Eastern counties in Montana) and will get an upgrade in title to "Director" upon completion at CMI, though I'm already doing the work of a director already :).
The forefront of their ministry is Good News Clubs. Ideally they take place after school, at the school, for elementary students. It goes once a week for 5 weeks. Within a typical meeting there will be a Bible lesson with built in Gospel message, a missionary story, songs, game and memory verses.
In the summer time we train our Christian Youth In Action (CYIA) kids, jr. high and high school students, to actually go out in to the field and do 5-day clubs. Essentially the same as a Good News Club but goes for 5 days in a row, usually in someone's back yard. CYIA training lasts for two weeks each June in Billings and is held at the Yellowstone Baptist College. It's pretty intense study for the kids, but it's so cool seeing them lead 5-Day clubs during the second week. After training, the CYIA kids have all the materials they used and can easily use them to fill in for elementary age Sunday School, helping out with VBS at church, assisting with Good News Club, Fair Ministry (like what you saw us doing at the fair) as well as being able to be involved with personal evangelism.
Fair/festival ministry consists of facepainting using the colors of the wordless book to evangelise to chlidren, as well as adults as the case was during the fair this year. We even sort of partner with the Gideons during this. The bring us bibles to distribute to kids and adults who need them as the kids will stop by our facepainting booth, but not necessarily the Gideon booth.
In December we do Birthday Party for Jesus. It's just a one time meeting per group of kids.

We do VBS as well.
We also provide training to churches that want to do their own children outreach so that they can be equipped for that.
